First Impressions: Assassins Creed II and Left 4 Dead 2

It’s Tuesday and that means everyone around gets to finally play Assassins Creed 2. I had the pleasure of playing a bit of the game and I must say, it is amazing! It’s hard to talk about the game since I cannot spoil any bit of it but i can say it’s fun. You climb around like you did before, you fight like you did before but it somehow doesn’t feel old. It really feels fresh and very fun. Granted, I only played a short bit of the game, but I’m looking forward to playing the rest and seeing how the game turns out.

Expect a review on GuestController soon!

The other game I got to play is Left 4 Dead 2. I was very excited to finally play this game as well, however my excitement was quickly turned to frustration once I decided to actually play Left 4 Dead 2. Since Left 4 Dead 1 was such a fun co-op game, i decided to bring my friend in to help me play the game and so we could just have little fun. However we quickly found out that zombies weren’t going to be our worst nightmare. Lag totally killed our game. From the beginning of our campaign, we got heavy lag, making zombies literally fly and jump from spot to spot. All we could hope to do is spray in random directions hoping to hit something. It definitely killed our fun. I do think that there could have been any number of things wrong with our individual Internet connections but it still hurts my experience. Hopefully, we can clear up these issues so we can enjoy a lag-free game.

One thing that is most notable to me is the shortened loading screens. initially loading screen was very long in Left 4 Dead 1 and barely noticeable in comparison. There are several new modes which I will talk about in depth once I write a full review but the variety seems like a great idea.

You can expect a review of Left 4 Dead 2 from yours truly very soon.
